KCH Press Release – Three Kosciusko Community Hospital staff members and one physician were recently recognized for their outstanding contributions made in 2015. Peers voted for the Clinical and Non-Clinical Employees of the Year, Employee of the Year and Physician of the Year.
Clinical Manager of the Year was awarded to Peter Chinworth, Manager of Hospitalists and Patient Experience. Chinworth was instrumental in driving improvements in patient care. He worked with a team on implementing stroke care processes that contributed to a successful primary Stroke Care Center accreditation.
Non-Clinical Manager of the Year was awarded to Veronica Bayles, Director of Registration and Insurance Verification. Bayles played a key role in opening Provident Imaging Center. In addition, she led efforts to educate community members about the Affordable Care Act.
Employee of the Year was awarded to Krista Harding, RN, KCH Orthopedic Center Joint Care Coordinator. Harding was instrumental in developing and implementing the KCH Orthopedic Center that is based upon national best practices in joint surgery. In addition to being an outstanding operating room nurse, she regularly educated the community about arthritis care options during seminars.
Physician of the Year was awarded to Elizabeth Joy Struble, MD. Dr. Struble serves on a number of state medical committees. She is an active leader within Kosciusko Medical Group. Dr. Struble has accepted leadership roles and provided valuable insight as the medical offices changed from patient charts to electronic medical records.
