A Goshen-area girl is recovering after running out in front of an SUV driven by a Bourbon woman yesterday. The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department says 3-year old Collete Stump suffered abrasions to her face but escaped serious injury. Witnesses say the toddler ran onto SR 119 just before 5pm and into the path of an SUV driven by 36-year old Brenda Miller. They say Miller could not avoid hitting the child before coming to a complete stop.
