Kosciusko County has a new Director of Operations at the Dispatch Center.
Sarah Lancaster was selected for the role after an extensive process involving a multi-agency interview committee.
Lancaster began her public safety career in 1999, when she joined the Syracuse Fire and EMS. She was presented the opportunity to work in the Syracuse Dispatch Center shortly thereafter. In 2005, Lancaster was hired by the Kosciusko County 911 Communications Center and has been the Assistant Director since 2011.
While as Assistant Director, Lancaster has held the office of Secretary-Treasurer for the Indiana Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO) and was an APCO Regional Director until 2019.
Lancaster is currently a volunteer firefighter with the North Webster Fire and EMS and is working toward her EMT certification.
Kosciusko County Sheriff Kyle Dukes approves of the promotion.
“I am confident that Lancaster’s abilities and experience will help to lead the County’s Communications Center in the right direction,” he said.
