FORT WAYNE (AP) – Officials have identified a teenage girl whose body was found wrapped in a carpet in an alley.
The Allen County coroner said Wednesday that 17-year-old Marcie Lynn Ward was found dead Saturday morning. The coroner’s office said that the cause and manner of Ward’s death haven’t been determined.
The coroner’s office, Fort Wayne police and Allen County prosecutors continue to investigate.
Police have said investigators don’t know how long Ward’s body had been in the alley.
