The holiday shopping season brings great opportunities to find that perfect gift for someone special, but also for scammers to take advantage. Dreama Jensen of the Better Business Bureau of Northern Indiana says that ordering online or over the phone is convenient, but it also creates opportunities to get cheated. Vague emails are sent to consumers about package deliveries that look legitimate, but are not. The emails claim that you need to click a link to get shipping information for a package, and may even appear to be from a legitimate shipping company. Clicking the link of course opens you up to potential malware attacks or viruses. Contact the BBB with any concerns or questions at 574-675-9-3-5-1 or visit bbb dot org.
