9/11 Ceremony Planned at Center Lake

A ceremony has been planned to commemorate the lives lost during 9/11.
The ceremony is Sept. 11 at 6 p.m. at the 9/11 memorial outside Center Lake Pavilion.
Speakers will include Sarah Goshert, 9/11 committee member, and Jim Smith, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputy.
<span style=”font-family: Verdana, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif; font-size: small; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; line-height: normal;”>Boy Scout Troop 715 will lead the Pledge of Allegiance, Warsaw Community High School students will lead the national anthem and Indiana Guard Reserve will post the colors.
Brad Kellar, Warsaw Police Department detective, will sing “God Bless The USA” and “Have You Forgotten.”
Lane Sumner, chaplain, will do the invocation.
Ceremonies have been in Warsaw since 2002, and a parade will be planned for next year. 
Battle of the Badges award winners will be announced. During that competition, people had the opportunity to donate blood to the American Red Cross in honor of local police, fire and EMS.
Indiana Patriot Guard motorcyclists will attend and post rows of flags along Canal Street and at the 9/11 memorial.
Benches have been installed by the 9/11 memorial. The benches were purchased by the 9/11 committee from donations and fundraisers.
