Warsaw Mayor Jeff Grose is the latest area leader to urge residents to offer their comments on intersection changes along US 30 in Kosciusko County before the Dec. 13 deadline.

Plans to reduce the number of intersections will involve eliminating some while also converting others to interchanges or overpasses as the state works to convert the east-west throughway to a limited-access highway.

Grose said he’s be submitting his thoughts and priorities on behalf of the community based in-part with input from stakeholders.

“I’ll be putting that together over the next several days and I’ll actually submit mine on behalf of the community, the mayor of Warsaw, here is what I feel is best,” Grose said.

Grose made the comments during a taping of In the Know, the public affairs show you can  hear on Kensington Digital Media radio stations.

Grose did not divulge details on specific intersections but was clear in his support for a limited access highway while admitting changes in the process will be painful for residents over the next few years but will be best in the long run.

“I’m hoping they will say, 20, 30, 40, 50 years from now, they did it right — it’s safe,” he said.

Grose also talked about the high school football team’s run for a state 5A championship and other issues in this week’s edition of In The Know.
