Cardinal Services received a 3-thousand dollar grant from the Dekko Foundation for its Claypool Head Start classroom. Dekko’s “Little Bit of Luck” grant will be used to purchase age-appropriate playground equipment.
The Claypool classroom serves 18 pre-school children ages 3 to 5 years old. The new space will include a covered sandbox, an outdoor kitchen playset, a Pump and Play Mud Kitchen, and Balance and Play Tree Steps. The equipment will be used daily during playtime, and also provides opportunities for classroom STEM activities, complex arts and crafts, aerodynamics learning, and nature exploration.
