MISHAWAKA — Mishawaka police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead in a residence just a block or so from where the Warsaw girl’s basketball team was playing.
The shooting happened on Indiana Street apparently during the high school basketball game.
At some point, possibly after the game, police established a lockdown at the school.
The Warsaw team and local media remained inside the gym until police said it was Ok to leave the building
The shooting was reported around 8:45 p.m.
No other details about the incident were immediately available.
