A Chicago man was arrested in Pierceton July 4th after allegedly molesting a 16-year-old autistic girl. According to an affidavit filed by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, Indiana State Police Officers responded to a report of child molesting at Jellystone Campground in Pierceton and spoke with a security officer who advised he received a complaint that a male subject had molested a girl in the swimming pool. When the officer arrived at the swimming pool, he observed a man, later identified as 39 year old Marco Antonio-Jasso Ortiz of Chicago in the pool exposing himself through his swimming trunks. The officer reportedly then told Ortiz to tie his swimming trunks and Ortiz told the officer he was playing with the kids in the pool. The officer then spoke to the victim who advised Ortiz had kissed and touched her inappropriately and it made her uncomfortable. The girl told the officer she had repeatedly told Ortiz she was only 16 years old but that Ortiz kept calling her “his lady.” The victim’s mother informed police the victim was autistic and would not be able to comprehend what Ortiz was attempting to do. Police then spoke to Ortiz who admitted to hugging, kissing and touching the victim numerous time to the point of arousal. Ortiz was then arrested and booked on a charge of sexual battery and held on a $6,000 bond.
