Fulton County detectives are investigating the death of a woman found in Rochester Saturday night. The sheriff’s department says a body found in a wooded area on West 9th Street is that of 43-year old Katina Powell of Rochester. Detectives say their initial investigation appears to show that Powell suffered a single gun-shot wound, and WNDU reports that a firearm was found near her body. Results of an autopsy have not been released.
