A former Fairfield Community Schools custodian accused of sexually abusing a child multiple times over three years has pleaded guilty to two counts of child molesting. 53-year-old Donald Powers of New Paris was scheduled to to go trial this week, but instead, has pleaded guilty to two counts of child molesting.
Powers had been the head custodian at New Paris Elementary School, but was fired after he was arrested in November. Court documents did not show where the abuse took place or if the child was a student at the school. Powers could face up to 58 years in prison when he’s sentenced in late June.
