Purdue University will honor one of the innovators of the orthopedic industry by naming its headship after him. The Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering announced yesterday that it will name its headship after Biomet founder Dane Miller. Biomet and the Weldon School have been working together since its founding in 1998 on design projects and internship programs. The honor comes courtesy of a gift from Dane’s wife Mary Louise as part of the “Ever True” campaign at the university. Miller died last year at the age of 69.
