Take a trip back to the era of World War II, the birth of rock ’n’ roll and Hollywood icons like James Dean and Marilyn Monroe during the First Friday in June.
The theme for the June 3 activities will be “First Friday Celebrates the 1940s and 1950s.”
The big event of the free activities will be the unveiling of the Walk ’n’ Wonder 2016 at 6 p.m. at the corner of Lake and Center streets. There will be a total of 20 Seward Johnson statues throughout downtown this year, up from 14 in 2014.
An Elvis Presley impersonator will take Center Stage from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and there will be a look-alike contest at 7 p.m.
The Center for Lakes and Streams will have fun projects on hand.
First Fridays are brought to the community by the Dr. Dane and Mary Louise Miller Foundation and the City of Warsaw.
