Anyone who’s a fan of Lamborghinis, Ferraris or other exotic cars will be able to see a variety of them when the “Exotics on Winona” car show hits the Village at Winona from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The event at 801 E. Canal St., Winona Lake, is free for car owners (no registration fee) and spectators.
Jared Lencke, marketing and customer experience manager with Dream Makers Automotive, 6393 Cross Creek Blvd., Fort Wayne, said that while Dream Makers may have a couple of exotic cars from their lot, all the vehicles at the show are driver owned.
“The Village wanted to put on a car show and attract visitors,” Lencke said of the purpose of the show.
Since it’s an exotic car show, not all makes and models of cars will be represented. The cars will be displayed primarily by people in the region who own exotic cars, and they will get some major discounts by a majority of the Village shops, he said.
Lencke said people can expect to see Porsches, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Aston Martins and McLarens among others. “Primarily more modern cars, but there will be some classic cars as well,” he said.
Saturday’s event is the first time Dream Makers has had a car show in the Warsaw and Winona Lake area. It does car shows in Fort Wayne often, and it had its biggest party recently with over 10,000 people attending.
He said Dream Makers does a similar exotic car show like Saturday’s in Auburn over Labor Day weekend at the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival.
Anyone can show their exotic car but must pre-register with Lencke via email at jared@dreammakersautomotive.com
“We want a certain type of car,” he said, such as Jaguar, Porsche, Lotus, Bugatti, Koenigsegg, and American models such as Ford GT’s, Dodge Vipers and new C7 Z06/Z07 Corvettes,
Saturday’s event is being geared toward Father’s Day, which is Sunday, he said.
