If the numbers are right, 2.1 Billion dollars worth of food has been dumped in the garbage at school cafeterias over the last three school years. We're told kids are going to bed hungry and food stamps are at an all time high,and yet the School Nutrition Association says school cafeterias have wasted nearly 4-million dollars in fruits and vegetables everyday since 2012. During that time, one million students per year have stopped choosing school lunches. But that's what happens when the government packs your kids lunch. Kids dump it in the garbage and the losses keep mounting up. 4 million dollars a day, times 180 school days is 720-million dollars a year over the last three years. 2.1 Billion dollars, and now they're trying to figure out how to make a bean burger that kids'll eat.
