Mike Pence is rumored to be the prohibitive favorite to be named the Republican Party’s Vice-Presidential nominee this week. Party insiders are convinced that Donald Trump, the party’s presumptive nominee for the presidency, will choose Governor Pence as his running mate for November.
Indiana politicians are reportedly already starting to put together their plans to make a serious run at the Governor’s office in his stead, including Indiana House Speaker Brian Bosma. The Trump-Pence ticket speculation was emboldened by the sudden addition of a campaign rally in Indianapolis on Tuesday. A number of GOP officials close to the campaign have gone on record saying they believe Governor Pence will be the choice.
