Michael K. Lindsey, 59, of 2441 W. CR250S, Lot 58, Warsaw, was arrested at 11:56 a.m. Wednesday.
According to a probable cause affidavit from the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, on July 5, a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department law enforcement officer met with a female victim who was covered in blood and had a large laceration on her head. The officer contacted emergency medical service and the woman was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for her injuries.
The officer interviewed the victim and she allegedly revealed her husband, identified as Michael Lindsey, became angry with her and she went into a bedroom. He allegedly rushed into the bedroom and began striking her several times with a closed fist. He then stopped hitting her and exited the bedroom. Lindsey overheard the victim calling the police and left the residence in his Ford pickup truck.
On July 8, a Kosciusko County victim’s assistant met with the woman and took photographs of her injuries. She had bruising to the right side of her face, both eyes, nose, neck, right forearm and upper arm, chest and a laceration above the left eye that required stitches to close. The victim’s assistant observed the woman’s left eye was extremely swollen and bloodshot. The victim advised her injuries were a result of Lindsey striking her multiple times with his fist. She also advised she is physically handicapped and paralyzed on one side of her body.
Lindsey is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on a $11,000 bond. As a result of the battery, a no contact order has been issued against him from contacting the victim.
