NORTH WEBSTER – A North Webster man was arrested Tuesday on intimidation charges, a level 6 felony.
Johnathan Roger Heckaman, 35, of 7745 N. Ind. 13, North Webster, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail Tuesday morning and is being held on a $5,250 bond.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, police were called to a domestic dispute at Heckaman’s residence in North Webster. Officer Michael Mulligan arrived and spoke with Heckaman, who advised that his girlfriend had splashed beer on him and he used his crutch to fend her off.
Mulligan spoke with Heckaman’s girlfriend, who told him Heckaman had hit her on the thumb with his crutch and she threw beer on him.
The female victim also told Mulligan that on July 21, Heckaman was allegedly talking about his case in Kosciusko County Superior 1 Court with Judge David Cates and Heckaman allegedly stated that he knows where Cates lives. Heckaman told her that if things do not go his way in court, he is going to kill Cates.
On Aug. 4, the victim met with a Kosciusko County prosectors investigator and provided text messages that was sent to her July 23 from Heckaman’s cell phone, threatening to kill her.
