A Cromwell woman has been arrested for dealing methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine, both felony charges.
According to a probable cause affidavit from the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, Lieutenant Michael Vaughn of the Allen County Drug Task Force used information from a prior purchase of methamphetamine from Christal Campos, 36, to obtain a search warrant for her residence in Kosciusko County. In that purchase, Campos sold the informant one eighth ounce of methamphetamine in exchange for $300.
On June 21, officers from the DEA and the Allen County Drug Task Force served a search warrant at Campos’s residence, 9788 E. Excaliber Place in Cromwell.
During the search, officers found a blue plastic container that contained numerous plastic bags with white residue, two plastic bags that contained a crystal like substance, two plastic straws with a white residue, digital scales with a white residue left behind and a black leather container that held a plastic bag containing a more of the crystal like substance. A metal canister that contained a plantlike material, a wallet with an Indiana ID card of Christal Campos and a white Motorola cell phone were also obtained in the search.
Officers field tested the crystal like substances and they tested positive for methamphetamine.
Campos was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on September 12 and is being held on a $15,250 bond.
