A 17-year-old Indiana high school student has been deemed mature enough to handle a situation many could not – he's helped prepare cadavers for an incoming medical class. Johntrell Bowles of Gary has participated this summer in the 2014 International Human Cadaver Prosection Program at the I-U School of Medicine-Northwest. He is the youngest person to do so. Bowles has dreamed of becoming a doctor since a young age. He says his mother was diagnosed with mild congestive heart failure and deemed unable to care for Bowles and his siblings, so they live in a foster home. In his application for the program, he said he can't help his mother's illness, but he can help others. His ultimate goal is to attend medical school.
