Some northern and central Indiana counties are seeing widespread flooding from storms that have dropped more than a half foot of rain in some areas. State police closed a section of Interstate 69 in both directions near Marion because of water on the highway Friday morning. That area between Fort Wayne and Muncie has had the heaviest rain totals reported by the National Weather Service, which issued flash flood warnings for several area counties.
