The Indiana Supreme Court will now decide whether the right-to-work law violates the state constitution. Oral arguments were held Thursday in the state‘s appeal of a September 2013 ruling from a judge in Lake County. The judge found that the law violated a provision of the Indiana Constitution because it forced unions to provide services for workers who were not paying union dues. The right-to-work law bars employers and unions from collecting union dues as a condition of employment. Thursday's hearing came just two days after a federal appeals court upheld Indiana's law.
