The Indiana Farm Bureau has left congressman Marlin Stutzman off their list of friendly legislators. Every two years the organization names “Friend of Farm Bureau” based on voting records and the number of bills that has been co-sponsored. In 2012, Stutzman was named a recipient of the award, however this year he was left off the list. According to the Journal Gazette, his vote to separate food stamps from the farm bill may have played a part in not getting the award. Stutzman, along with Representative Pete Visclosky and André Carson were the only members of the delegation bypassed by the IFB.
