A LaPorte County man is behind bars, suspected of mailing a powder-laced letter containing a bomb threat to the LaPorte County Courthouse. The powder turned out to be Talcum… but the letter stated there were explosives near the courthouse. That prompted an hours-long evacuation. After investigators and a bomb-sniffing dog went through the building, the all-clear was given and workers were allowed back in. 31-year-old Marcus Jones was arrested at a home in Michigan City. He is charged with Terroristic Mischief and Intimidation. He is currently being held at the LaPorte County Jail without bond.
