COLUMBIA CITY — A Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department detective’s vehicle was rammed by a suspect he was chasing on SR 205 in Columbia City.
Detective Shane Bucher was pursuing a suspect’s vehicle eastbound on US 30 in Whitley County after a chase that began in Kosciusko County. The chase continued into Columbia City onto Business 30 and ended on SR 205 near Radio Rd, according to Public Information Officer Sgt. Chad Hill of the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department. A suspect was taken into custody.
Bucher and the suspect were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for examination after the collision.
Pierceton Police Department and Whitley County officers were also involved in the pursuit.
