Community Health Network is planning to spend $175 million overhauling its hospital on the Indianapolis east side. The Indianapolis Business Journal reports the hospital plans to begin work in the fall on an expanded emergency room and increased outpatient services. The hospital has seen a 62 percent increase in emergency room visits since 2008. Community Health CEO Bryan Mills said Wednesday that the investment shows the company's commitment to the city's east side. Community also operates hospitals on Indianapolis' north side and just south of the city.
