ALBION — Officials have confirmed the identity of a man who was found dead inside a South Albion home.
At about 6:15 p.m. Saturday, October 15, the Noble County Sheriff’s Department found a deceased man inside home in the 1900 block of West County Road 100 in South Albion, according to the Noble County Sheriff’s Department.
Police say the individual had been there for a significant amount of time. Officials were unable to immediately identify him. However, family members were able to identify him as Jonny Chambers by tattoos on his body.
Chambers was reported missing on May 29, 2016. His truck was found abandoned in a driveway in Albion.
An autopsy was done on Monday, but DNA test results are still pending. Meanwhile, police are investigating his death.
