This Halloween, trick-or-treaters can bring their candy to the team at Dental Health PC and receive cash back for their candy.
Dr. Steve Hollar, Dr. Andrea Hutton and Dr. Matt Carmien have joined Operation Halloween Candy Buy Back to help support troops overseas. This program allows parents to reduce the amount of sugar consumption and unwanted cavities for their children, all while teaching them about helping out their community and supporting our troops, according to a news release from Dental Health PC. Kids can still have all the fun of dressing up and trick-or-treating, picking out their favorite treats and then donating the rest for a great cause, all while filling up their piggy banks.
Candy and all other donations will be collected the day after Halloween on Nov. 1 at the office of Dental Health PC, 904 S. Union St., Warsaw. Collection times are from 4 to 6 p.m.
Each child is eligible to receive $1 per pound, max 5 pounds, for all unopened, uneaten candy. Once at the event, children can draw pictures or write letters to the troops and pick a prize from Dental Health PC treasure box. Plus, it’s an excuse to wear that Halloween costume one more day.
All candy and other donations brought to Dental Health PC will be shipped to the Operation Gratitude Center where volunteers will make holiday care packages for all our troops overseas.
For more information on Operation Gratitude and items that can be donated, other than candy, visit Dental Health’s Facebook page or website at www.dentalhealthpc.com.
