Bishop Kevin Rhoades with the Fort Wayne-South Bend Catholic Diocese held a press conference Tuesday, in regards to a preliminary report released out of the Vatican on Monday. Rhoades was addressing how the report signaled a radical shift about what some are calling acceptance of gays into the church. During the news conference Rhoades said that the report is just a document and he doesn't think it's accurate to say that there's a “seismic shift'' taking place in the Church. The report released out of the Vatican does not change church doctrine, but it will spur a closed-door debate until a final document is issued Saturday.
