The Indiana Chamber of Commerce has endorsed U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski in her re-election bid, according to our partners at The Elkhart Truth.
“Jackie Walorski has repeatedly stood up for small business and against harmful government regulations and intrusion,” Kevin Brinegar, Indiana Chamber president and chief executive officer, said in a news release.
Walorski, a Republican from the Jimtown area, is seeking a third term against Democratic challenger Lynn Coleman, in the race for the Second District U.S. House seat. This is Coleman’s, a retired South Bend police officer, first bid for office.
“As the daughter of a small business owner, I was raised to know the hard work that goes into growing a business and creating good jobs,” Walorski said. “I am grateful to stand with the Indiana Chamber and fight for Hoosier businesses and manufacturers by reining in out-of-control regulations and making our tax code more simple and fair so our economy can grow.”
Libertarian Ron Cenkush of Osceola is also running for the House seat.
