Governor Mike Pence has declared November as Adoption Awareness Month for Indiana. He's using the occasion to urge improvements in the state's adoption process. Pence touted an adoption tax credit legislators approved this year, but said more must be done. He says the Department of Child Services is recruiting adoptive families for between 75 and 100 children. An adoption fair is being held today at the Statehouse, and next week, a National Adoption Day Celebration will be held here in Fort Wayne.
