A body found in Marshall County on Saturday has been positively identified as 78-year-old Richard Paul Costello.
A coroner has confirmed he died from blunt force trauma to the head. His body was found outside his home when family and friends hadn’t seen him in a few days, according to our partners at WNDU.
After his death, police noticed his car was missing and tracked it to Watertown New York.
Two people were arrested for auto theft.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s office is working on extraditing the two back to Indiana to face charges.
ORIGINAL STORY:
Police are continuing to investigate after a body was found Saturday in Marshall County.
We’re still awaiting for results of an autopsy that took place on Monday.
It was conducted in Logansport.
But police say they’re continuing to investigate the death as a homicide.
And at this point no one has been charged with the killing.
A lot is still pretty unclear without the autopsy results- especially since it was hard to place a time frame on the death. That’s because the body was outside a couple of days before it was found.
