Indiana‘s bobcat population is growing and that has prompted an advisory about the animals. The Indiana Department of Natural Resources said reported sightings are coming in from around central Indiana, but there is no reason to be alarmed. Conservation officer, John Gano, says bobcats are not a threat. Right now, it is illegal to kill or possess a bobcat, but the DNR says there is a possibility that there may be a limited trapping season for them in the future, especially in southern and northeast Indiana, where their populations are substantial.
