An Indiana woman whose mother's remains were stolen from her vehicle is crediting social media for their safe return. Sara Showalter says the remains were taken from a family vehicle last week. She feared her mother's ashes had been dumped in the trash. She posted about the theft on Facebook and asked friends to spread the word in hopes of finding the remains. A while later, she says she received a Facebook message from a woman who works at a drugstore, asking her to call immediately. She learned that a man had shown up at the store with a box of remains he claimed had been delivered to his address by mistake. Showalter retrieved the remains on Monday.
