Update: 16-year-old Aaron Blackwell was freed from his alleged abductors in the Detroit area after a chase by authorities Monday night. Police said early Tuesday morning that his sister, 13-year-old Emma Blackwell, has been returned home safely. It wasn't immediately clear if the 16-year-old also is back in Indianapolis. An Amber Alert was issued Monday for the teens. Authorities haven't given a motive for the abductions. Officer Christopher Wilburn says the teens were last seen early Monday at their home on Indianapolis' east side. Wilburn says an unknown male abducted them. Detroit Police Sgt. Eren Stephens says three suspects are in custody in connection with the alleged abduction.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the report of two abducted children from 1215 Lasalle Street, Indianapolis, IN. The children are brother and sister and are both fair-skinned African Americans. The brother’s name is Aaron Blackwell, age 16, 5’11” tall, 180 pounds, black hair and brown eyes, last known to be wearing a black bathrobe. The sister’s name is Emma Blackwell, age 13, 5’5” tall, 150 pounds, black hair and brown eyes, last known to be wearing pink and white pajamas.The children were last seen at 3:00 AM this morning when they were reported to have been forcibly abducted at gun-point by armed suspects from the Lasalle Street address in Indianapolis, IN and are believed to be in extreme danger. The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department say the children were likely abducted by an African American male who goes by the name of ‘Jay’ and is described as being 5’11” tall, 250 pounds, with short black hair and brown eyes. No further information is available for the other suspects and there is no vehicle description.
