In accordance with the presidential proclamation issued last night, Vice President-elect Governor Mike Pence is directing flags at state facilities statewide be lowered to half-staff today in honor of the 75th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Flags should return to full-staff at sunset this evening.
Pence also asks businesses and residents to lower their flags to half-staff in honor of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. Locally, Warsaw Community Schools’ Superintendent Dr. David Hoffert and his son Ryun are in Pearl Harbor this week with survivor Ray Emory and will be meeting with other survivors.
