The latest unemployment numbers are out for Indiana and they show the Hoosier State's unemployment rate at its highest level in nearly a year. Indiana added 8,600 private-sector jobs in January, but the state’s unemployment rate ticked up to 6 percent, according to a report released Tuesday by the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. Spokesman Joe Frank says it's because more hopeful job seekers returned to the labor market. Indiana's unemployment rate remains higher than the national rate which was 5.5% for January.
