ELKHART COUNTY – The New Paris woman found guilty in the death of one and half-year-old Kirk Coleman was sentenced on Thursday.
Jackie Rolston has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after she was found guilty of battery resulting in death on November 12th. Two years of her 30 year sentence were suspended, according to our partners at WNDU.
19-month-old Kirk Coleman died in 2014 from blunt force trauma while in Rolston’s care .
Rolston has also been barred from running a daycare or being alone with children. She plans on appealing the sentence.
