An investigation into child molestation has led to the discovery of what police describe as thousands of images of child pornography on a suspect’s phone, according to the Warsaw Police Department.
As a result, Andrew Steven Finch, 31, of 318 S. Lake St., Warsaw, is facing two charges of child molestation, one charge of child solicitation, one charge of child exploitation and one charge of possession of child pornography.
The investigation began when police were called to a Warsaw residence Dec. 24 to investigate a report of child molestation and then obtained a search warrant for Finch’s phone, Detective Lt. Paul Heaton said.
Heaton said they found thousands of nude images of boys 10 to 13 years old on the phone.
Police believe some of the photos include two local victims and believe there may be more.
Finch was arrested Thursday on charges of possession of child pornography. Police added the other charges late Friday afternoon. The case remains under investigation.
Finch is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail. His initial bond was set at $5,250.
