A new drug being developed right here in Indiana shows promise in the fight against Alzheimer's. Indianapolis-based Eli Lilly has developed a drug that targets a sticky protein that clogs the brain — potentially slowing Alzheimer's if taken early enough. Kristi Ritchi with the Alzheimer's Association of Greater Indiana is encouraged by the research. She says the drug won't be available in the next month, but it will give families hope for near future results. The next round of testing on the potential breakthrough is expected to wrap up in 2016.
