An Etna Green man was taken to the hospital after being struck by car on his bicycle Wednesday.
At about 1:35 p.m., 20 year old Ashley Weidman of Mishawaka, was driving south on Ind.19 near CR 950N, when she struck a bicycle operated by 46 year old Devon Kuhns. Weidman told police she struck the man as she looked down at her phone to check her map. Kuhns was taken to a hospital with a possible injury to his head.
He was conscious and alert at the scene, but was taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital as a precaution. Damage was estimated at $5,000 to $10,000.
