The lawsuit over Concord High School’s annual Christmas show is over as a federal judge has issued a final ruling against the school system.
The ruling, issued Monday, March 6, states the 2014 and planned 2015 versions of Concord Community Schools‘ annual Christmas Spectacular program violated the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, according to The Elkhart Truth.
The ruling is a victory for the Freedom From Religion Foundation, which sued the school system in 2015 claiming the program endorsed Christianity, the Elkhart Truth reported.
The school system was ordered to pay $7 to one anonymous plaintiff and $1 each to three others, the Elkhart Truth reported.
