KCSD Press Release – A Warsaw man is behind bars after allegedly stabbing a roommate yesterday afternoon.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies responded to a 9-1-1 report of a stabbing yesterday at approximately 4:32 p.m. at the Johnson Mobile Home Park located at 3529 West, County Road 100 South, Warsaw. As officers were responding to the scene, they were advised of the suspect’s description and possible identity. Sheriff’s deputies located the alleged suspect, Scott Ryan Blevins, 39, and took him into custody without incident.
During the course of the investigation, officers were advised by witnesses that Blevins and his wife were living with other individuals at the residence on County Road 100 South. A verbal confrontation had developed during the afternoon, at which point Blevins had shoved his wife in the presence of his roommate. Purportedly, Blevins’ behavior escalated to a point where he was attempting to slice the tires of his vehicle so that his wife could not leave the premise. Blevins roommate intervened and was stabbed by Blevins, in the torso area. The victim was treated at the scene by arriving medics, but refused transport to a hospital.
Blevins was transported by K.C.S.D. sheriff deputies to the Kosciusko Community Hospital for medical clearance before being brought to the Kosciusko County Jail. Blevins was arrested and preliminarily charged with felony battery with a deadly weapon, criminal mischief, and possession of paraphernalia. He is currently being held on a $10,250 bond.
