A former Elkhart County resident has allegedly admitted to authorities in Pennsylvania that he sexually assaulted an underage relative over a decade ago here in Indiana.
The Elkhart Truth reports that 30-year old Juan Sabas walked into a police station and told officers he inappropriately touched a 7-year old girl on several occasions 12 years ago. He also admitted to police that he is in the US illegally, and the paper reports immigration officials have confirmed that.
He was booked into the Elkhart County Jail last week on two felony charges, with bail set at $150,000.
