The Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory had use the “jaws of life” auto extrication tools to remove the driver from a car that rolled over after a collision in Warsaw.
First responders arrived to the intersection of Ferguson Road and 200 S shortly before 7:30 a.m. Tuesday morning, and began work to remove the driver of a Hummer SUV.
Investigating sheriff’s deputies say the Hummer SUV had been northbound on Ferguson Road and failed to stop at the intersection, striking the Chevy Tahoe. After impact, the Hummer SUV rolled-over, trapping the driver in the vehicle until extricated.
The driver of the Hummer SUV was transported to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne for a head laceration.
The driver of the Chevy Tahoe and a juvenile passenger in that vehicle were both transported to Parkview Hospital in Warsaw for non-life-threatening injuries.
