The $4.7 billion plan kicked off last week, and Holcomb outlined specific INDOT projects for the first five years of the new 20-year program.
Holcomb explained the best part about taking transportation to the next level.
“With this 20-year plan, we’ve created real certainty,” Holcomb said. “And that helps us leverage some of our greatest assets along with our workforce. Having a 20-year plan certain really helps us attract investment.”
Following Holcomb’s Next Level Roads Plan announcement in Fort Wayne, Indiana Senate President Pro Tem David Long made the following statement:
“Indiana’s transportation infrastructure is a vital component of our economic success. I’m thrilled to see the Governor travel to Fort Wayne this morning to discuss the launch of the Next Level Roads Plan, which will provide much-needed resources for our roads and bridges for years to come. I was pleased to support the plan in the General Assembly earlier this year, and I’m glad to see important road projects already getting underway across the state. This is truly an investment in our future.”
