South Bend police have a person of interest in the the case of 21 animals found dead in an alley. The person's name hasn't been released, but more than a dozen tips reportedly led police to this person. Purdue University is still examining the animals to determine exactly how they died. Physical evidence from the scene is also being processed. Police are also asking witnesses to come forward and state on the record what they've seen or heard first hand from the suspect. The animals' bodies were found on March 27th. The national non-profit Alley Cat Allies is offering a $750 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person responsible.
