While The City of Warsaw has one more reading before officially adopting a chicken ordinance, the city of Goshen has made the plunge. Goshen will issue 50 permits on a first come, first served basis to those who apply and meet criteria set by an ordinance adopted in April. According to the ordinance currently in place for the Warsaw City Council to approve, only 25 residents would be allowed to obtain a chicken permit. The second reading for the Warsaw chicken ordinance will be at the City Council meeting on May 19th.
