A crash Monday morning has left one person dead on Fort Wayne's northeast side. Fort Wayne Police were called to the area of Lake Avenue and Coliseum Boulevard around 8:30 A.M. on a report of an accident with injury. Officers were directed to two different scenes-the first was on Lake Avenue where there was an overturned jeep with the driver inside. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The second area involved the same vehicle west of Coliseum on Lake Avenue, where investigators say the Jeep was traveling at a high speed when it left the road and hit the rear end of a stopped Citi-Link bus and then two street lights before going back on the road and leaving the opposite side, where it hit a utility pole.
The Citi-Link bus had passengers on board, but no other injuries were reported.The victim's name has not been released. The crash remains under investigation
